d'link router firmware update
Follow below steps for updating d'link router firmware.
Step 1:
For updating router firmware you need to download the latest
firmware for your router.
It is better to download the firmware somewhere from where
it can easily be accessed such as your desktop.
Note: The
downloaded firmware file is a .bin file. In some cases the firmware is
downloaded in a .zip format. In cases please extract the zip file to get the
.bin file using the built in Windows extractor or using Winzip/WinRar.
Note: This downloaded firmware file cannot be directly opened
or run over your computer. It is loaded into the router web based pages to
further process.
Step 2: Now you
need to login to your router.
Open any web browser and enter the IP address of your router
into the URL bar. The default IP address is 192.168.0.1. Use http dlinkrouter local or http
192.168.0.1.
This will redirect you to D-Link login page. Enter admin
username and password. The default username is admin and there is no password
by default.
Now as per your Configuration Interface, follow pending steps:

Note: Some
firmware upgrades may undo all settings back to factory default settings. In
that case, you may need to reconfigure your wireless/internet settings.
Step 3: Once
logged in click on the Tools tab at the top. Then on the new screen click on
Firmware that appers on the left-hand side.
Now it gives option to browse the downloaded firmware. So
click on the Browse button and browse the downloaded .bin file that you
downloaded in Step 1.
Step 4: After
browsing the firmware file click on UPLOAD to begin the upgrade process. It may
take up to 240 seconds to complete the upgrade process.
