d'link router firmware update

Follow below steps for updating d'link router firmware.

Step 1:
For updating router firmware you need to download the latest firmware for your router.
It is better to download the firmware somewhere from where it can easily be accessed such as your desktop.

Note: The downloaded firmware file is a .bin file. In some cases the firmware is downloaded in a .zip format. In cases please extract the zip file to get the .bin file using the built in Windows extractor or using Winzip/WinRar.

Note: This downloaded firmware file cannot be directly opened or run over your computer. It is loaded into the router web based pages to further process.

Step 2: Now you need to login to your router.

Open any web browser and enter the IP address of your router into the URL bar. The default IP address is 192.168.0.1. Use http dlinkrouter local or http 192.168.0.1.

This will redirect you to D-Link login page. Enter admin username and password. The default username is admin and there is no password by default.

Now as per your Configuration Interface, follow pending steps:

Now it gives option to browse the downloaded firmware. So click on the Browse button and browse the downloaded .bin file that you downloaded in Step 1.
